Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy (“Datenschutzerklärung”) explains how Twinexis GmbH processes personal data in connection with www.twinexis.com (the “website”), in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG).

2. Hosting and server log files
When you visit this website, our hosting provider’s web server automatically records technical data for every request, typically including IP address, date and time of the request, browser type and version, operating system, referring URL and the amount of data transferred. This processing is based on our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in the stable and secure operation of the website. Log data is retained only as long as necessary for these purposes.
3. Contact form and email
If you contact us via the contact form or by email, we process the data you provide (name, email address, subject and message) to handle your enquiry. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to entering into a contract) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in answering enquiries). Form submissions are sent to us by email. We keep enquiries only as long as needed to deal with the matter, unless statutory retention periods apply.
4. SkyDev downloads and purchases
To provide the free SkyDev demo and to sell SkyDev licences, we use the shop system Easy Digital Downloads on our own website. For a download or purchase we process your name, email address, order details and, for paid orders, billing data. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract) and Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR (statutory retention obligations under commercial and tax law, generally 6 to 10 years).
During checkout (for the free SkyDev demo and for paid licences), we ask you to complete a short registration form. We process the products in your basket, your first and last name, business email address, phone number (optional), company, position, industry domain, country, how you heard about SkyDev and, if provided, your planned use. The form data is sent to us by email. We use it to process your order or download, to understand who uses SkyDev and to evaluate our marketing channels (legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in developing our products and sales). We use your email address to send you information about SkyDev updates, offers and events only if you have ticked the separate marketing consent box (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 7(2) UWG). You can withdraw this consent at any time with effect for the future, e.g. by email to info@twinexis.com or via the unsubscribe link in each email. We delete registration data when it is no longer needed for these purposes or when you withdraw consent or object, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
Payments are processed by PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., 22-24 Boulevard Royal, L-2449 Luxembourg. When you choose PayPal, the data required for payment is transmitted to PayPal, which processes it as an independent controller. See PayPal’s privacy statement: paypal.com/legalhub/privacy-full.
5. Embedded videos (YouTube)
We embed videos from YouTube (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). When you open a page with an embedded video, a connection to YouTube servers is established and your IP address is transmitted. YouTube states that in privacy-enhanced mode it does not store cookies for personalised advertising until you play the video. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG where consent is obtained via our cookie notice; otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our interest in an attractive presentation of our products). Data may be transferred to the USA; Google LLC is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
6. Google Maps
On our contact page you can display a map from Google Maps (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). The map is only loaded after you click “Load Google Maps”; before that, no data is sent to Google. Once loaded, Google receives data such as your IP address and may set cookies. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG), given by clicking the button. Data may be transferred to the USA; Google LLC is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. 7. Cookies
We use cookies that are technically necessary for the website and shop (e.g. remembering your cookie choice, the shopping cart and checkout session). Any non-essential cookies or similar technologies are only used with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time via the cookie notice. Details are available in our Cookie Policy.
8. Recipients of data
We do not sell or rent personal data. Personal data is only passed on to service providers who process it on our behalf (e.g. our hosting provider and email provider, under Art. 28 GDPR) or to independent controllers where necessary to perform the contract (e.g. PayPal).
9. Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you (Art. 15 GDPR);
- rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR);
- erasure of your data (Art. 17 GDPR);
- restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR);
- data portability (Art. 20 GDPR);
- object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21 GDPR); and
- withdraw any consent given, with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR).
